What People are Saying
"We have booked Kids Who Care for the Leadership North Texas opening retreat since the program started in 2009. These young leaders are impressive, engaging and have no trouble coaxing adults out of their comfort zones. The feedback each year is always the same: The future is a bright place with these young leaders!"
Kimberly Walton -- Vice President, Communications, North Texas Commission

"The first time I saw Kids Who Care perform was at the Ronald McDonald House in Fort Worth. Not only was the kids' performance beautiful and artistically impressive, but the message was so powerful. It was the first time these kids moved me to tears, but certainly not the last. It was the perfect complement to the Ronald McDonald House's Topping Out ceremony."
Brandi Sanchez -- Vice President, Customer Experience, GM Financial

District XI, Believe in Me

Kids Who Care original musical that celebrates kids, teachers, and mentors who are changing the world every day at school. Produced by local playwrights and musicians, including the young actors in the Kids Who Care Resident Company, this show reminds us that together we can build the education our children need - and future they deserve! When you hear "Do you believe in me?" the voice of every child, teen, and teacher who's ever dreamed of a place where they can excel reaches into your heart and gives you hope in the future.

The place is HERE...
The time is NOW...
So raise your voice and LET'S MAKE SOME NOISE!

Notes from the Director:
In August of 2008, I saw Dalton Sherman then a kid, stand before a crowd of 20,000 Dallas Independent School District educators, with no fear, and call the question, "Do you believe in me?" These words, written by Jon Dahlander, then Executive Director of DISD Communications, became the prologue for our 2009 Preview Performance of "District XI: Believe in Me" and took us to venues and places we had never been; standing before Laura Bush and hundreds of educators in downtown Fort Worth, singing in the heart of Chicago to a room full of aspiring young women and children, presenting on the steps of the Fort Worth Courthouse, and a week later on the Texas State Capitol steps for "Save Texas Schools".

We return to this musical with renewed energy to celebrate teachers. These are the people who through their contagious curiosity ignite in us some particular interest that informs our future. Along with our parents, great teachers deliver us into adulthood with tools for life, and through them we believe "can do anything, be anything, create anything, dream anything, become anything!"

Please invite our 2019-2020 Kids Who Care Resident Co. into your neighborhood, your company, your event or school. It is our desire to inspire you and our community with performances of this remarkable production, "District XI: Believe in Me."
